Oh, Autumn, let me count the ways I love you:
- I can finally break out those over-sized sweaters that have been waiting oh-so-patiently in my closet. They are great for being super snuggly and comfy and they totally allow for some wiggle room when you eat ALL the pumpkin pie.
- The whole color palette of fall is perfection: burnt oranges, mustard-y yellows, warm sienna. Be still my Pantone-loving heart.
- Everything about fall is about getting together in comfy places with your favorite people: whether you’re sharing a meal for Thanksgiving or gathering a camp fire and telling spooky stories.
- It’s the one time of year where getting a little scared is more charming then, well… scary.
- HOWEVER, if you don’t want to hang out with people, the weather totally gives you an excuse to get cozy under a blanket, curl up with a good book and read to no abandon.
Good book. Warm beverage. Soft pants. This time of year was made for these things.

So, the main character in this novel is slowly turning into stone. That’s some Edgar Allan Poe gothic horror level stuff right there. Think historical novel meets fantasy meets thriller and you’ve got Fawkes.
